Update...

Hello all...I just wanted to give an update on my progress in regards to the framing. I'm on house number four, a midsize two story. Everything is going great, with no delays or problems...except the wind and the cold! The weather is getting colder by the day. The house is in a little subdivision in Grand Bay-Westfield, which sits high on a hill over looking the beautiful Saint John River, so it gets a bit windy some days and these days windy means extra cold. The plus side to being up high is the view. Grand Bay-Westfield is a quiet little town that is about 15 minutes outside of Saint John NB. Nice little town to work in. Once I get a new camera (the last one died) I'll post some pictures of the house and view...

That's often the trouble with a good view, isn't it? We rented in several houses, some with spectacular views, others in sheltered spots, and when it came time to buy, we chose the sheltered! You can insulate a house well enough, but some of us like working in the garden without a constant wind on our backs!

Good luck keeping warm and getting the house done...we're hoping to raise our roof this winter or soon after. It IS getting cold.

Thanks Susan! I find one of best ways to keep warm is to keep working...the only problem I find with that is as soon as I stop I get cold even faster...Ah, to be able to make enough money during the summer to spend the winter in some warmer place...as for the view, that is always the problem, but I pick the view...

My husband works construction and currently is up four levels high on shoveled scaffolding with Lake Huron freezing winds nipping his face. Not fun at all.

Congrats on those houses going up.
