Employment, Unemployment And The Stuff That Goes With It....

Today I had to let an employee go...Let me tell you it was probably the hardest thing I've ever had to do in quite a while. The other time that was worse was the only job interview I ever went too. (got the job) What made it worse was I like him and have known him for years. Not to mention the fact that it's the season for the spending and the buying...The other thing that made it hard, was the fact that he took it so well. Was he expecting it? Did he want it? Did he care?

I imagine that was very hard Mark, one of the downfalls of being an independant business person! I am sure they understand how hard it was for you...and they would have done the same thing if they had to make that decision.

Hey onelittlemustardsee, It was very hard and it wasn't fun, I do not enjoy that part of the business...

Hello Cristine, I was drained before and was drained after...not mentioned the time of the year...but that's business...just like life it sucks sometimes...

Thanks to the both of you for the visit and the comments!

I've done this a couple of times myself and it's not pleasant. Luckily, it turned out okay. You never know how the employee will react.
